Re: Chapdelaine leaves SFU for SK Head Coaching job?
The Alumni at SFU weren't thrilled but his decision to take the Riders OC job would not hinge on Chamblin being fired. It wouldn't hinge on it... but there is no way it didn't cross his mind in the process. He had an opportunity to do something special at SFU. So special that in his presser he told...

Re: Chapdelaine leaves SFU for SK Head Coaching job?
There was an article this week concerning Jacques leaving SFU after one season when he committed to three. Apparently SFU wasn't impressed. My take on the article was that he was making a few excuses, but the radio guys seemed to think he simply chose to go to a program where there's more money inv...

Re: Preseason game June 19 at Thunderbird Stadium
Football exhibition games are generally dreck as entertainment no matter what league. It's a fine idea to take them off site and even out of the season ticket package. Re: Preseason game June 19 at Thunderbird Stadium
The Victoria venues would not be suitable. Royal Athletic Park is simply awful and at Bear Mountain Stadium in Langford the field is much too tight to the sideline and endzone fences. The stands are too close and the end zones are short (dangerous for pro ball). Both facilities are very limited. Th...

Re: UBC Game June 19
I have been in that facility for Shrum Bowls where around 8,700 have been in attendance. It's pretty well maxed out at 7,000 without adding additional seats. Facts about Thunderbird Stadium: - The grandstand seats 3,441 - There are three dressing rooms. One at field level for the visitors, one for t...

Re: Lions reach a 2-year radio deal with TSN1040
So this means Rintoul removes the interim part of his PBP title? We've been lucky to have had Rick Ball and Scott as pxp callers in this market. Need I remind you of the voice that came before them on another station at another time who actually had NW promo him as a "hall of fame broadcaster&...
