Re: How is Winnipeg affording all this?

So far during the FA feeding frenzy, the Bombers have signed: -Andrew Harris -Ryan Smith -Justin Medlock -Jeff Keeping -Euclid Cummings -Keith Shologan Add to that list Weston Dressler. Did they just become the front runner for 2016 Grey Cup or ? No. They still have some significant issues on the O...

Re: How is Winnipeg affording all this?

Absurd comment. Some players will be traded or cut before SMS starts adding up. No different than what Ottawa did last year for example. Hmmm...really? Milt Stegall, former Bomber finds it amusing. WBB.png Good for him. He should know that aside from bonus / upfront money that the SMS $$'s don't st...

Re: CFL coaching carousel

Been away in hospital. Had surgery for burst appendix on Friday morning at 1.30 am and back home today, but in for long recovery. Plan when I can post on Lions news. Just grateful to be alive for close to dying and still risk for high infection in next 4 to 6 weeks, so not out of the woods yet. Mer...

Re: lulay

I was assuming this whole time that Jennings was just being kept healthy for the playoffs. Am I wrong? You are correct I believe. The other aspect was to give Lulay some game activity in case he is needed in the playoffs due to injury etc. Having Lulay start was in no way indictative of Jennings's ...

Re: HARRIS Resign or Not ..Wally

As good as Harris is, finding teams to pay $200K+ for any NI is not as easy as it sounds. There is no question Harris would be a great acquistion for any team. A few teams need a serious upgrade at the RB position so he's going to get offers.

Re: Lulay activated off of 6 game injured list...

Can't afford Lulay as a back up. Either he takes a restructured contract or he might be released or traded. At this point he's similar to when Pierce was jettisoned from the Lions. Injury prone and hobbled to the point only desparate teams would be willing to consider him even as a free agent. I don...

Yes items 2 and 3 clarify the " reasonable offer " question. Thanks for the feedback.

Re: Negotiating Rights question?

IMO ... "fair" = ballpark. Not extreme lowball. All teams will view the player roughly the same in terms of contract, it would seem. I also think it would only be with a "name" player, such as Tebow, where a conflict might arise. If he wanted to go to Montreal and the Lions had ...

Re: Negotiating Rights question?

Who decides what a fair value might be? That is what is determined between the club and the player agent. That's not quite the point. Let's say a given player on the neg list decides to come to the CFL. The team holding his rights offer him $80K but the player says he wants $1M. Obviously the CFL t...

Re: Old Game Footage?

Yes, check with CBC. They owned the rights at that time and had a library of games on file. Many ,many years ago I got a copy of the 1958 Grey Cup since I'm a Bomber fan as well as a Lions fan. So you should be able to get some info from them.

Re: Possible Home WSF game?

Lol. If you didn't notice, Reilly got some playing time this weekend. He'll be starting again soon. Perhaps in another week. In the meantime the Lions are playing Beck.

The Lions, Als and Winnipeg are fighting for 3rd in the west. Lions have the edge there at the moment.

Re: Als 23 @ Leos 13 - Post Game Stats and Comments

Lulay has avoided another injury but he has not regained his previous form. He is now part of the problems on offense unfortunately. Accuracy on the deeper patterns just isn't there.
