Re: What changes, if any, would you like to see for next year?

1 win in 4 starts And those 4 losses were Printers' fault....how??? One could argue the OT interception cost us the Rider game, but if not for a defensive meltdown late, the "W" was ours. CP carried the offense on his shoulders that day and put us in a position to win that game. DH Ok fin...

Re: "Wally's the man," says Braley - Mike Beamish

Guys, let's not read too much into these newpaper reports, huh? Do you really expect Wally to lay out his entire off-season game plan to the beat reporter? I would expect Wally to sit down with his staff, his players, and his Director of Player Personnel and formulate a plan to fix things. You're ma...

Not sure where you're going with that or what you're implying.

Re: Which players are going into their option year?

Not sure what happened to Bumpus, he was suspended by the Lions last week? They brought in another receiver, Passmore, on the practice squad who has some size and college creds, hopefully he'll be at camp next year. There has been much speculation about "getting rid off" or releasing some...

Re: Which players are going into their option year?

Respect your opinion, but have to disagree WCJ. You saw what Ryan can do in the Eastern Final. You can't teach that kind of speed! He was also became very sure-handed for us down the stretch on kick/punt returns and did not fumble. He was a threat every time he lined up back there. I for one would ...

Re: RUMORS!!!!

My bigger worries would be what kind of owner do we have? Son of Sam? (was there a Sam glieberman?) Rumour has it the Bosa family is interested in the Lions. In terms of real estate prominence in this city, they're right up there with the Aquilinis. They've built half the city! Bosa Properties has ...

Re: What changes, if any, would you like to see for next year?

- a new offensive and defensive coordinator. On offence, playcalling too conservative and predictable. Does not take advantage of the whole field. If for no other reason failure to convert on 3rd and short. Had two years to correct this problem but didn't. Defensively, again too conservative. Too m...

Re: Free Agents from other teams (who should the Leos go after)

Are you sure that Mo Lloyd is an FA? DIdn't he just sign with the Esks last year? I find it hard to believe he signed for one year. He did have an off year so he may be cut. If he is, then I would expect Wally to be interested. Yes, you can scratch Mo Lloyd off the list of potential FAs. He just to...

Re: Which players are going into their option year?

My hunch is Grice-Mullen has shown enough as a returner to at least sign with an NFL team before looking back at the Lions again From yesterday's Province: It was far too early to hit Grice-Mullen with whether he wants to explore free agency. "I love Vancouver, but I just turned 23. ... That's...

Re: Which players are going into their option year?

Dean Valli becomes a free agent too. You have to think that being a local boy from North Van, Dino's first choice would be to re-sign here. This is an important signing for Wally in that 1) we're not blessed with a surplus of non-imports along the 0-line and 2) he's versatile (can play guard or cent...

Isn't there any choice besides "Stay The Course" and "Overhaul The Roster"?? They seem like two extremes to me.

How about "A Few Upgrades And Better Depth?"

Re: Leos/Als Playoff-Post Game Thoughts!!!

I think one thing that is abundantly clear is that the Leos need to fix the O-Line. 4 Quarterbacks got injured this year. Today, Casey never had a pocket to roll out of, he was retreating. He had to dodge Montreal's front 4 all day. Frankly, I say Heerspink has gotta go. That's the blindside. You n...
