Perhaps the CFL should change the rule so that a punt needs to travel 10 yards (or whatever distance makes the most sense) before it can be recovered by onside players.

It sounds like Claypool has never learned to be a pro. He may eventually mature but it may be not soon enough to salvage his career in the NFL, and likely too much ego to consider the CFL once the NFL moves on.

Did the insertion of David Knevel at guard in place of Andrew Pierson made that much of a difference to the running game ?

Mizzell had some big runs by going off tackle on the left side of the line, where Knevel was playing left guard.

I just watched a youtube highlights video of the game and one thing that stood out was a lot of sloppy tackling from the Lions. Early in the season the tackling was a Defense highlight.

Lions need to find a running game and I don't think Mizzell is a guy who can excel between the tackles. Someone with more size and power is needed but without that guy, Lions need to have Mizzell run wide or off tackle.
