What was the turning point of the season?

I'm still trying to digest what has happened in the past 80 days and where it all went wrong. I think we all agree the 11 game winning streak masked some of our problems but none of us saw what was coming on the horizon either. For me ... the turning point was the game in Montreal. We were on a 3-ga...

If it only was as simple as deciding which QB to keep. Right now ... the hammer belongs to Jason Medlock. He has been saying for the past 2 or 3 months there are at least 5 NFL teams interested in CP. If any one of them step up with a legitimate offer then I think CP heads south ... knowing full wel...

Would hardly be surprised to see Maciocia keep it status quo with the hook ready early should Ray struggle.

Much easier going that route instead of the other way around should Mass happen to struggle.

CP still has to start, let him tire out that D line, and then bring in DD if needed, like around the time we get in the red zone, CP didn't look good there. When DD went down with the concussion we were on the verge of clinching first and we still haven't got it done. With this one final chance of ...

This seriously can't be answered until after tomorrow night's game and maybe not until Nov. 6 either. Perhaps the 2 biggest regular season games on the near horizon that will go a long way towards figuring out the QB equation in the playoffs. Wally has recognized what CP has done by given him the st...

I think he should start too ... but playing Devil's Advocate .... DD was 10-1 as a starter and likely the runaway winner of the 2005 MOP Award when he went down with his concussion. It's just as easy to say he deserves his starting position back with CP ready and more than capable if the offence spu...

I used to think that the announced attendance included ALL of the 7-11 east endzone seats, whether 7-11 sold them or not, but after last night I'm not so sure. 29,870 is about the lower bowl capacity, but the 7-11 section was only sparsely filled. I figured the people upstairs would have pushed it ...

Ironically ... it could work against keeping CP here long term if we end up riding him into the playoffs and the Lions are successful. Already ... there are 6 teams down south interested in him with Miami supposedly leading the way. His resum? could look even better if he led the Lions to the Grey C...

the Canucks/Avs game is the first time the two teams have played since you-know-when actually - the canucks play in colorado 2 nights before. it isn't nearly as significant as people are making it out to be. Nope ... they're at home against Phoenix. It is the first meeting between the two teams. ht...

Should the start time for the Oct. 22 game be moved up?

Weekend SportsTalk host Jeff Patterson suggests the Lions will be losing out on at least 5,000 fans for the Oct. 22 home game against Winnipeg that will be going head-to-head with Avalanche-Canucks game at GM Place. Patterson added the fact it very well could be a mean nothing game will make it even...

The 2004 team would win because it would be Wally Buono and Steve Buratto vs Wally Buono and Jaques Chapelaine. Both OC's are gifted but the 2004 team has the offence that is required to stretch the 2005 defensive secondary. It would be interesting to say the least. But throw the "30" def...

As mentioned ... defence and special teams much improved.

DD would also pick apart Arslanian's non-pressure defence.

Orange Youth Clermont (son)

The orange home has actually grown on me. Still not crazy about the all white helmets.

Outdoor (covered sideline seats) 35,000 capacity with ability expand to 50,000 for playoff games and Grey Cups.

? The indoor/outdoor thing doesn't bother me as much as how a smaller capacity stadium would put a greater premimum on season tickets and be better for the Lions' long term future.

Based on the years ahead of them ... Jackson and Glatt are solid and safe choices.

But I went with Floyd ... clearly an underrated player who is enjoying an outstanding season. The speed he showed on the TD saving tackle on the missed FG was impressive.
