Re: More details on the move to Empire
The Whitecaps are at Swangard for 2010 and it sounds as though they'll be moving into Empire to start the 2011 MLS season, presuming construction estimates are correct.

Re: More details on the move to Empire
The grandstands going up at Cypress for the freestyle events will be moved to Empire, so if anyone has Olympic tickets for freestyle skiing/snowboarding will get a sneek peak at what they may be sitting on at Empire.

Re: The dawn of a new Empire - Lowell Ullrich
Global News was interviewing a guy from the company that's setting up the grandstands and tents up at Cypress and he mentioned that as soon as they're done here, I think June 2010 is what he said, they'll be moving the tents for London 2012 and the grandstands are moving over to Empire.

Re: More details on the move to Empire
If this cluster**fudge** is allowed to fester, without a confirmed location by January or a contruction schedule in place, I can see us playing on the road for the first several games of the season - meaning for the first time in years we will be playing more home games after Labour Day than before...

Re: More details on the move to Empire
Being of the younger generation of Lions fans, and having had a taste of outdoor football, I'm actually looking forward to next season, all other factors nothwithstanding. Then again, being a born and bred Vancouverite, I'll be packing my Goretex jacket and my shades at all times. I'm sure there's p...

Why would a retired Dickenson not be behind Printers? Dickenson has nothing to lose to Printers.

I forgot which video clip I was watcing, but someone said that the CFL is about 2 things: players and fans.
To get a real sense of what the CFL is all about, just hit up the Spirit of Edmonton Hospitality Suite. You'll see fans from every CFL city and some from those who no longer have teams.

Re: 2010 Ticket Prices
In an email sent to season ticket holders about a month ago, they offering "Gold" section seating at "Silver" pricing. Looking at it from a strictly money point of view, it's a saving of like $130. From a seating point of view, the seat may be the same or slightly more towards th...

Re: 2010 Ticket Prices
Nobody outside of Toronto will have any sympathy for us Lions fans. Every other stadium is wide open to the elements. I, for one, am looking forward to more outdoor football. Then again, I have lots of Under Armour heat gear, a nice array of Oakley lenses for the summer and a goretex jacket for afte...

Re: Should the Lions win the EDF, Who do you want to Face in GC?
I don't care for the following reasons: 1)Expectations were so damn low, I think they've already exceeded them by making it to the 2nd round of the playoffs. 2)We beat Hamilton, a team that the team couldn't beat during the regular season 3a)Beating Sask is always fun, but wouldn't it be extra sweet...
