Re: Lions' receivers
[ Ironic that Travis Lulay was healthy when the Lions moved on. Never thought of Odell as a non contributor. They used to talk about how he knew every players responsibility on the field and I always thought he would make a good coach. Would love to see Claybrooks back in the league as well. Cocked...

Re: Touchdown Pacific in Victoria 2024
Nice to see the enthusiastic response to ticket sales but I can't se the advantage for the Lions when they could have sold 10,000 more tickets hosting the game at B.C. Place. Willing to let the accountants figure it out though and happy for the people of Vancouver Island. There's probably a lot mor...

Re: Lions' receivers
My opinion of Carter stems from watching him at training camp in Kamloops. I had high expectations of him really connecting with Reilly but all I saw was a lazy pantload who seemed disinterested in putting in any more than minimal effort. He spent most of the time during stretching exercises yukking...

Re: Lions' receivers
Yeah, Claypool has NFL level talent, but from where I sit it appears he does not have pro football maturity. I don't think his ego would allow him to play in the CFL. Claypool comes across to me as being similar to Duron Carter. Long on talent but lacking the sort of maturity needed to be a pro. Wh...

Re: Rourke now a NE Patriot
I think Rourke is in a bit of a tough spot in NE. The HC that signed him, Belichek, is gone as is the OC. While NE's new OC has worked out Rourke in Cleveland, there really is no one in NE with any sort of commitment or belief in him. Belichek had already been out of the New England picture for nea...

Re: Rourke now a NE Patriot
When I read about the new NFL rule on 3QB, I wondered how it would impact Nathan. Assuming the Pats use their #3 pick on a QB, they will already have 4 QB's in camp. Rourke will have to pass Zappe to #2 spot to dress for a game as I would imagine that the rookie QB will hold the Emerg QB spot.... s...

Re: Lions' receivers
I guess Chase Claypool would have to sign an ELC as a National which makes it even more unlikely but for a guy who could use a fresh start the Lions might be his best available opportunity . Mom's home cooking and watchful eye won't hurt and it might be fun for him. I do believe he is looking at fr...

Re: Rourke now a NE Patriot
I see where the NFL is considering tweaking their emergency 3rd QB rule so that teams could use a PS player as opposed to having to activate the player to the 53 man active roster to be available for emergency use. The biggest benefit would be that teams wouldn't have to pass the QB back thru waive...

Re: Touchdown Pacific in Victoria 2024
There was a "CFL member" presale today. I didn't know I was a CFL member but it is lucky I am because there were very few tickets remaining. I managed to get 3 next to each other. Otherwise there were only singles left. If that is truly all that is left, there will be slim pickings when s...

Re: Touchdown Pacific in Victoria 2024
Apparently CHEK TV in Victoria offered pre-sale opportunities for 2 days last week. In the email that advised me of my seat location there was a link to buy additional seats. Supposedly it was good until the 29th but when I click on it I'm being told there are no seats available. Could it already be...

Re: Touchdown Pacific in Victoria 2024
My buddy and I were today advised of our TD Pacific seats. Very similar to our BCP seats. We were given Sec 17 row 15 seats 16&17 which will put us between the 50s 15 rows up behind the BC bench. Definitely prime seats.

Re: 2024 B.C. Lions Schedule
The first 5 or 6 don't concern me as much as the stretch after that. At least the first 6 are split down the middle 3 home and 3 away. After the Rider game on July 13 and on until the Argos sail in on Sept 13 they have 5 road games and only 2 at "home" with one of those 2 being over in Vic...

Re: Lions' receivers
I think Wieneke might be a lot like me playing hockey. I always said I'd never lose a step because I never had a step to begin with to lose. When I left the island to go to PG I told my buddies they'd have to pick up the pace because with me gone our league just got faster. Jake never was fas...
