Re: Caesar Rayford to play against Hamilton Sunday

Man, can this season get even more weird? What's next if we beat Hamilton but lose a tackle, "No, really Walter. Come back, huh? You got it all wrong. I never told the reporter you had deficiencies. I was talking to him about...ahhh....da fish in the seas." In other roster moves, M. Bumpus...

Re: Don't expect any changes in scheme vs the Ticats.

I think we need a neck rub. It's getting tense... and a hot tub, few bottles of saki and a girl at each elbow. Mmmm...I already feel more relaxed. Getting tense? That's an understatement Rob. There's been more tension on this site latey than entrance exam week at Tokyo University. Nothing a big win...

Re: Ian Smart in ... A.J. Harris released - Mike Beamish

Call it a hunch, but I think we're going to see Ian in some offensive plays - maybe some swing or dump passes, tosses or sweeps. I'd be surprised if we're activating him just for his return skills. I think Wally's going to try and give the offense a spark, not to mention using him as an insurance po...

Re: It's Printers and Lulay Against Hamilton

Travis Lullaby We brought in a new QB? :tease: It's kind of an inside joke. Several weeks ago, after his break out game, somebody on LB posted a Toronto newspaper article in which he was inadvertently referred to as "Travis Lullaby" about 20 times throughout. Maybe they approved the spell...

Re: It's Printers and Lulay Against Hamilton

According to CKNW, Casey Printers took the majority of first team reps today, followed by Travis Lullaby (2nd team). Zac Champion threw very little. However, Jarious Jackson "threw a surprising number of footballs" (good news there), while "Out Of Luck Buck" as Jim Mullin calls h...

Re: List of Good and Bad BC Lions who RETURNED

You can add to the list of the "good" Lions, TE Lynn "Lefty" Hendrickson (1968-71, 73-4). He's the father of Scott and Craig Hendrickson.

Lefty retired in '72 and then came back for the 2nd preseason game in '73 and went on to become a Western Conference all-star.

Re: B.C.-Hamilton head to head

We definitely got royally screwed in Hamilton. Mallet made that long rush to the endzone but was ruled down at the 1. He actually had crossed the plain of the goal line but the BC coaches/spotters in the booth didn't have access to replay - it wasn't working for them. We were up at the time and woul...

Re: Bombers vs. TiCats

I understand that Travis Lulay WOULD be ready to play next Sunday. Call me nuts but I like our chances in that game if Travis is under center. Wouldn't matter who is behind the centre if we can't stop the run. Hence this comment: We're also going to need... a much better defensive game plan....

Re: Next year re: QBs

Pretty simple for me. Casey Printers, Jarious Jackson, and Travis Lulay (and sign a prospect to be #4 and to push Travis and Jarious in camp next year). Buck? Too risky to bring back - too many punishing hits have resulted in concussion problems and a wonky shoulder. He's deserves a back-up position...

Re: Attendance

BTW, does anyone know what the final game attendance was at Empire Stadium back in 1982? Amazingly Ravi, the Leos played Montreal on November 6, 1982 - exactly 27 years ago tonight, and only 15,071 showed up at Empire! It was also the last game for Vic Rapp. I think at that time, people were 'so ov...

Re: Nov. 6, 2009 - Edmonton Eskimos vs. BC Lions Game Day Thread

Not counting on any kind of help Sunday from the Ti-Cats so the playoffs start tonight with home field advantage. Indeed. That organization has been screwing us all year, so should we lose tonight I fully expect them to lose to Winnipeg. After all, they... * beat us twice (before most fans here rea...

Re: TEAM 1410: Lions new permanent radio home

That in a nutshell is how I feel about it, we may as well adopt the new station and move on. It also sounds like there will be more Lions product on 1410 as well. :whs: This is bullsh*t. Sorry, they can spin it any way they want but there's no other way to describe it. The Lions are being sh...

Re: 2009 Gibson's Finest CFL Player Awards Team Nominees

Of those six, who do you think will win the west division representative? To Rammer's point, Martell looked like a shoe-in (bad pun given all his foot problems) at the mid point of the season but has really been slowed by injury. He's in tough against Whitlock who has really come on lately. Voters ...
