Blitz, in the three man front I wish they would put Foley in in an elephant type position - edge rushing as an OLB, switching up the sides etc. I have no issue with a three man front, but an issue with a three man rush. If you look at the best three fours in the NFL, they always bring one LB on a b...

Getting Things Fixed Up During The Break!

It's a very hard road to win a Grey Cup but the football gods deem it to be special to repeat. Perhaps that has to do with their sense of fairness or the fact that they believe that a team who wants to repeat has to undergo the ultimate challenge of adversity and courage, or they are just plain mean...

Knowlton had a HUGE game and really stepped it up IMHO. This guy is making me take notice. With all due respect to Hunt who came on late in the game, I figured Knowlton was our defensive player of the game. He was all over the field and he was making good reads. When going in on blitzes (when we ac...

B.C. Fan wrote: It was a classic CFL thriller with lots of offence and little defence. The offence was great to see from the Lions' perspective. That was their best game of the year by far. Geroy Simon and Jason Clermont were tremendous, Joe Smith was made some great cuts to hit the open field and B...

I've liked the direction our offence was taking, from the start of the season, wanting to run the football more and have a more balanced attack. However, in the last two games Kruck and Dorazio have taken major strides, by using the "I" formation more often and going to play action a lot m...

Leos/Stamps Post-Game Thoughts!!

This was a big game for both teams as our Leos wanted to end a two game losing streak and and Calgary was a desperateteam team who were really fired up. It was a very entertaining game with both offences making big plays. Kruck and Dorazio came up with an excellent game plan and Kruck called his sec...

Wally is putting some heat on Simmons, saying he needs to make a couple of big plays in each of his next two games, if he wants to stick around!

We haven't thrown to Simmons...I'd like to see what happens when we do!

I think we'll also see Rogers get the ball in space tonite!!

The fact is that Printers played better than Brody Coyle in exhibition play last season. However Croyle was put higher on the depth chart because he was a high draft choice for the Chiefs as a quarterback and he'll have to play himself out of the backup spot. If Printers wants to maake it down there...

Printers went 10/12 for 123 yards passing in his outing last night against the Miami Dolphins. No touchdowns or interceptions.

Croyle was 6/11 for 83 yds with one touchdown and an ill-advised throw off his back foot for an interception.

Calgary is definitely motivated as you note Rammer! This is going to be a very interesting game and how we perform is going to say something about the makup of this year's edition of our LEOS! Here's hoping for a good game plan and spreading the football around on offence, even with all the Geroy pu...

Dickenson tossed a few balls this week and felt fine but when he tried to jog the symptoms returned! He's a long way off yet! :sigh:

The thing I find interesting is how DD is working in sort of an OC capacity with the team right now. It was already noted at the beginning of the season how "comfortable" (shall we say) he is with calling his own plays, effectively acting as his own OC at times. Dickenson didn't want to c...

Keys To A Win Against The Stamps!

It's time to return to winning ways! It's not only our Leos that are not used to losing...us Lionbackers suffer too and a two game losing streak is about all we can tolerate without having serious side effects. We know what we have to do to beat the Stamps.....now we just have to get it done! Here a...
