I hope they open the roof tomorrow night despite Buono's desire to have it closed.
The roof will be open. That was announced yesterday, based on the weekend forecast of hot, sunny weather.

Re: Eskimos vs. Lions June 24, 2017

When pressed, he said something about giving people the opportunity to get jobs and how quickly they forget, character reveals itself over time etc (I took this to mean one of his hires? Was Mark Washington hired by Benny? Is there bad blood between the two?). I can't see Benny having anything bad ...

Eskimos vs. Lions June 24, 2017

The B.C. Lions 2017 season opener is here, and it's a battle of two of the CFL's top offences. B.C.'s offence looks just as strong as last year's, if not stronger with the return from injury of Nick Moore, who moves from slotback to boundary wideout until Chris Williams comes off the 6-game injured ...

Re: Lions cuts

The Lions have got their roster down to 46 for Saturday's season opener. Nine players were moved from the active roster to the 1-game injured list: DB Buddy Jackson DB Steven Clarke RB Josh Harris P/K Swayze Waters LB Dyshawn Davis DL Andrew Hudson OL Jeremy Zver OL Kevin Palmer WR Stephen Adekolu C...

Re: Lions cuts

The Lions still list 54 on their active roster, and probably will until Friday when they have to declare their 46-man roster for the season opener. That means 8 players will be removed, with most of those likely to be moved to the 1-game or 6-game injured list. Montreal moved 8 players to the 1-game...

Re: The 2017 Season - Your Predictions

On TSN's season preview show, Matt Dunigan and Milt Stegall predicted B.C. would represent the West in The Grey Cup, while Chris Schultz and Rod Black picked Calgary. Ottawa and Hamilton were their picks to win the East.

Re: 2017 All Things Lions Marketing & Promotions

To the Lions' credit they're hyping Saturday's game against the Esks. Full page (outside cover) with "Who Is Jonathon Jennings in today's Province." That is outside cover as in before any news headlines. Just the mast and Jennings. Then turn the page and it's another full page with details on the g...

Re: 2017 All Things Lions Marketing & Promotions

The CFL has a new streaming service and the packages look very reasonably priced as you can buy it game by game at US$2.99 or a team at $36.99 or the entire package at $79.99. This will no doubt help US and other country viewers big time. Not available in Canada I don't think unless somehow you get...

Re: Lions cuts

The notion of cutdown day has lost some of its impact. Teams keep as many players as they want to keep, and find a way to stash them. I see the Lions starting the season with more players on their injured lists. They could still lose players if they try to cut them and move them to the practice rost...

Re: The 2017 Season - Your Predictions

I agree that the Lions appear to be the most talented team in the league. I'll go out on a limb predict the Lions will beat the Montreal Alouettes in the Grey Cup. I saw Matt Dunigan predict that Saskatchewan will win 10 games this year and make the playoffs. I'm not ready to believe that. I still s...

Re: Lions ownership discussion thread

With all due respect to northeastern and "south of the Fraser" residents, hands up anyone who seriously believes that attendance would increase if they moved to a stadium in, say, Coquitlam, Surrey, North Delta, or even Richmond? Maybe south or central Burnaby or New West, but where would they buil...

Re: Lions ownership discussion thread

When BC Place is as muggy as it was on Friday, I can't help but wonder that it can't be great for the players. Did anyone see how drenched in sweat Manny was when he was shown on the big screen? I was surprised we didn't see guys cramp up. Yes, we were pissed about the roof being closed and felt we...

Re: Big Software Update Coming Soon and a new look

Other than clicking on the "New posts" button, is there a way to tell what's new when looking at the full board? Many topics have a spinning football icon, but some of those include posts I haven't read and some don't. Some topics have an orange paw and some have a white paw. I've just been looking...
