Re: Lions vs Elks Oct 21

That's very odd. I don't have any way to measure this, but the air quality here in Van seems to be better today than it has been in a week. The sun is shining as opposed to haze and the faint smell of smoke that we've recently experienced (esp. yesterday). A practice at Thunderbird Stadium would ha...

Re: Lions vs. Bombers Oct. 15, 2022

Good start. But a note to Campbell and Maksymic: A.J. Ouellette had 91 yards on 9 carries for the Argos tonight, and was instrumental in getting their offence unstuck (not to mention scoring the winning TD on a 25 yard run when they were just positioning to kick the winning field goal). If Butler is...

Re: 2022 CFL Week 19

What a terrific ending to a game that was handed to the Stamps when Lemon recovered a fumble and the Stamps pushed it in for a TD. But TiCats came back with some big catches by White with 11 seconds left. I had pretty well thought the Stamps would take the win..... sure am glad I stuck with the gam...

Blew Jays playing at the same time certainly didn't help the attendance.
Well that won't be a problem the rest of this season. That was a collapse the Leafs would have been proud of.

Otherwise, yes, having someone like Rourke is like icing an elite goaltender in hockey - he can paper over a lot of team weaknesses.

Re: Which head coaches are most likely to get fired at end of season?

If O'Shea is going anywhere, I can see him in a front office position in Toronto. Clemons was a decent coach and is a great ambassador for the team, but his talents don't lend themselves to upper operations or managing a club. O'Shea has that ability in spades, and it would be a homecoming for him.

Re: Garrett Marino

I remember our oline was way better with Jimenez and Rob Murphy, but Jiminez was really dirty. Murphy wasn't as bad but would always be on the line. Murphy had a temper, which got him into trouble a few times including one particularly notable meltdown when he played for Toronto, but his play never...

Re: Rourke to undergo surgery

I'm looking forward to seeing our new starter, O'Connor get his chance. I really hope all this talk about who is available and who should be brought in is just for fun. He's not Rouke, but not one of us knows how good he is or can be. Go Micheal Go! Best of luck. I know most of us Lions fans believ...

What about the ranking for special teams? Do we want to know?
Covered in this thread last week. I doubt much has changed:

Why are they not kicking a field goal here?
