Re: Leos Argos Post Game Thoughts
Interesting observations BC FAN. I was going to make a seperate post on this as what is the Lions best line-up coming out of the bye week? Neil McElvoy was the special guest on last night's Lions on Tap Show. He didn't offer great details on the injury front but did suggest Hollins is a "day t...

Re: Leos Argos Post Game Thoughts
In some ways signing Nathan Rourke is similar to when they signed Mike Reilly despite having an excellent QB in Travis Lulay who ironically was healthy at the time. Probably ended Lulay's career two years earlier than it could have been although I would be surprised if he did not have other offers ...

Re: Uniforms for Sept. 13 game
Yes the intro of the letters on the helmet started at the end of last year and has continued to be pushed forward.... not a fan of it. or that new font on the suddenly "alt" logo.. If someone is a fan of the monogram "BC" on the helmets, please step forward. No judgment. I'd lov...

Re: Argonauts at Lions, Sept. 13, 2024
The Lions have released their game roster and depth chart. David Mackie is moved to the 6-game injured list. Rookie LB Jackson Taylor returns to the practice roster. Chris Schleuger comes off the 6-game list and starts at left tackle, with Kory Woodruff remaining at left guard. Rookie RB Jordan Ter...

Re: 2024 season Week 14
Antonio Pipkin might have been a truer replacement for Chris Streveler than Jake Dolegala or Byron Scott but could be there is something else going on with the Bombers. My guess is 6' 3" Terry Wilson will be the short yardage guy going forward. Bottom line Winnipeg has an immediate need for a ...

Re: 2024 season Week 14
Going by the the 3downnation article, I'm not sure if Adams' $395,000 hard money for this year includes his $200,000 signing bonus or is in addition to it. If it includes his signing bonus, he is being paid less than $11,000 per game rather than $22,000 per game. That makes it a bit more affordable...

Re: Argonauts at Lions, Sept. 13, 2024
Mackie has a hamstring issue. I would guess that he would sit out this one as having him healthy for the last 4 games will be invaluable. He has been used a lot more this year and the team is reaping the benefits. https://www.bclions.com/injuryreport/ Mackie has been dealing with a hamstring issue ...

Re: 2024 season Week 14
There is zero chance of that. It takes a suicidal tendency for a GM to trade away the most precious CFL commodity, QB depth, in a Grey Cup hosting year. Only exception would be if the host team was hopelessly out of playoff contention. They will deal with the VA question in the offseason. He still ...

Re: 2024 season Week 14
Question becomes would the Lions consider a trade to Calgary allowing VA to get back on the field this year. They could trade Maier on his expiring contract with little to go straight up for VA who has a year left on a good sized deal although no real time left in the season to pick up the playbook...

Re: 2024 season Week 14
If the Riders want to pass the reigns to Shea they do so at their own peril. As a starter I think his ceiling is that of average journeyman. They went 2-3-1 with him as starter. Yea, and how have things worked out since then? :tease: Average journeyman...isn't that what people were saying about Cod...

Re: 2024 season Week 14
Vernon Adams discussion is a tough topic given what he's done for this team including taken many beatings physically before Maksymic would consider any variations on the run/blocking and play calling schemes. Also, he's the most natural starter if Rourke gets a bad hit or two. I'm not sure which of...

Re: 2024 season Week 14
Yup looks like it will be a bidding war between Calgary and Sask. For Vernon Adams this off season. Realistically, I can see 5 clubs with varying degrees of interest in VA, ranging from "serious bidders" to "tire kickers." I have ranked them below: Cgy - Maier's ceiling establis...

Re: Leos/Als Post Game Thoughts
I think that flag you refer to tedbear could have been for illegal kickoff which would have been the case had the ball bounced OB without either team touching it. Once the Command Center ruled Montreal did gain possession there was no illegal kickoff. The Command Center also has the authority to ste...

Re: 2024 season Week 14
Jarious has already indicated Tre Ford will be starting that game. The rest of Winnipeg's schedule is against Eastern teams: home to Toronto and at Hamilton and Montreal. I wonder if going back to Ford is indication the injury MBT suffered late in the game is something where they already know he wi...

Re: BC at Montreal Sept. 6, 2024
Only caught the 4th quarter, but where has this Online come from? Dline too! They say you win in the trenches and the past 2 games have looked pretty good! Let's keep it going. The injury bug can fly away any time now. Hope Perkins and Evans are good for next week. I missed anything happening to Ev...
