Re: Question

The play is whistled dead when Burris goes down and makes no attempt to get up or advance the ball. If he's playing Saskatchewan, John Chick will dive on him and make sure he doesn't get up. :beauty: Are you implying the Riders get away with cheap shots? Never..... Not sure what you're imply...

Re: Riders/Ti-Cats

speaking of looking too far ahead... I'm listening to the rider post game show on CKRM and the hosts are talking about how the Riders will have a home playoff for the 3rd year in a row, it's just a question of if it will be the WDSF or the WDF. check the math guys, if BC our last 2 games and Calgar...

Meh - some people will do anything to get headlines - too bad he didn't realize he was up against Cohon and the CFL faithful.

Glen Suitor tweeted that he had a great interview with CP - very humble and down to earth. It'll air on the pre-game to the Lions/Stamps game.

Re: Big ratings for Lions-Ridersboadcast

Really good numbers but I really take exception to that column. #1 was: 1. NHL, Leafs at Canucks/Rangers at Habs/Bruins at Sens, Saturday, CBC: 2,306,000 It took 3 different games in 3 different regions to top the numbers the CFL had for 1 game for the whole country. What would happen to that 2.3 m...

I prefer a conservative approach. Let your opponent try to beat you, don't beat yourself. The problem with a conservative approach is that it tends to be predictable. The opponents know exactly what you're going to do. Don't know about that - the Als play fairly conservative overall, but they'll ki...

Re: An Exciting Game-A Heart Breaking Loss

Why not? No-one expected them to win the GC that year - I'm just saying anything's possible in the CFL. 'Round these here parts we'd rather look at the 1994 Lions (we seem to think this one is better than the '89 run) or even the 2000 Lions. ;) Yep 94 was better than the 2K run, but both were bette...

Re: Monday Musings, Post-Game Quotes via Beamish and Ullrich

How come the procedure calls weren't even reviewed for the most part by TSN, the one that they tried to key on Jimenez late in the game just prior to the hand lock between him and Shreko, seemed to be as close as close could be. One would like to think the refereeing is truly objective. Coaching hi...

Re: Game Day Thread - Lions at Riders, October 24, 2009

He's not at all. Apart from yourself, every rider fan I have ever encountered has been ignorant and rude. I despise the riders, their fans and the ridiculously ugly green WJC jersey. They should all be shredded. Well, I thought he was kidding when he mentioned that Regina is a big market team and D...

Re: Game Day Thread - Lions at Riders, October 24, 2009

I'm curious, do the referees' salaries count towards the Sask SMS cap? I loathe SK even more now. No. And the "other" 29 of their 75 man roster do not count either. This is how big Market teams like Regina get to flout the SMS luxury Tax, (credit LFITQ) while small market teams like Edmon...
