Re: Pending Lions free agents

^^ So in short, Canadians, including 3D Nation never pay much attention to what is going on west of the Rockies.

Re: Pending Lions free agents

3 down nation has the lions ranked way down at the bottom for free agency moves. Just wondering what you guys think of this. I really enjoy reading the posts on here. Lots of knowledgeable folks, helps me learn about the CFL game. I think the 3D Nation downgrade is mostly about the ones that got aw...

Re: Pending Lions free agents

According to a Winnipeg fan: Fenner signed for $130k/yr for 2 years. If reports are true, Bombers offered $60,000 more than the Lions, then Hervey only offered him $70,000 a year. That is way too low an offer for one of your best defensive players last year. I do not blame him for walking away. Con...

Re: Pending Lions free agents

Things are picking up with the signing of National O-lineman Christopher Greaves from Montreal. There was very little in the way of available Nationals amongst the Offensive linemen so getting at least one to help with the potential departure of 3 Canadians will help mitigate the blow to the ratio....

Going to be difficult to recover from loosing Fenner, Purifoy and Awe.

Any word on the status of Ronnie Yell?

Re: Odell Willis headed to B.C.

I'm thinking/hoping Gabe Knapton is already a significant improvement, even though he's not exactly a youngster anymore either. Both he and Willis are fully animated get-up-and-go types. That could be contagious. Here's hoping! But, yeah, more more more (to whatever extent we can afford salaries)! ...

Re: Pending Lions free agents

I wouldn't break the bank on Craig Roh, but I would definitely bring him back to camp. 7 sacks last year (I seem to recall he had he a couple negated by penalties too). That total (7) was only one behind Odell Willis and Willie Jefferson. He only just turned 27 as well. DH  I like Roh over Ba...

Re: Odell Willis headed to B.C.

Getting Willis is a great acquisition. He seemed to have matured while in Edmonton and has a good past relationship with Ed Hervey.

Re: 2017 All Things Lions Marketing & Promotions

Being at the tail end of the Baby Boomer group (1963), I can say I don't much care for the relentless invasion of digital media in my life (and that is coming from a retired Network Engineer). Frankly, there isn't that much that I want to know on a regular basis about most things. If I want to chec...

Re: Kevin Glenn signs with the Edmonton Eskimos

"Greatest Journeyman" is actually a backhanded compliment and imo a long career should not necessarily lead to the HOF, especially if at no time in Glenn's career was he the best QB in the CFL.

Re: Jennings contract re-structured

How does an "incentive loaded" contract affect your salary cap if the player hits all the targets? So the Lions save cap space now, spend it on other positions and Jennings has a great year. Then he is due all that bonus money and Lions wind up going over their cap. Right? Here is my guess for how ...

This fan likes it.

This is a testament to his longevity in the CFL, his character, his knowledge of the game and his skills. He has been a quick study, picking up various offensive systems.

Kevin Glenn, arguably the greatest CFL journeyman QB of all time.

Re: Alouettes sign QB Josh Freeman

I find there is an interesting and in a way confounding way CFL fans look at QBs who came to the CFL via the NFL. Keep in mind there are very few CFL QBs who came directly to the CFL without first trying their hand at the NFL. Some like Freeman actually played and started many games. Some spent tim...

Re: Pending Lions free agents

the more of last years o-line they bring back, the worse next season is going to be. I agree with this post, and hope that there is a concerted effort to bring in o-line and d-line players to compete at TC. However, it may be that the Leo's are going to sign last years INT crop just in case none of...
