Re: Riders @ Lions Oct 3, 2015

I hope Draheim holds up. I would assume Aladenoye won't dress. If Draheim goes down once more, that means Foster goes to LT and Thorn plays centre. If Harris can't play the whole game, it'll be Shaque again, though I still feel there is a way to get Rainey into the game by shifting an import WR. But...

Re: Death Roh Verdict

Good day all around for the guy. He's on the depth chart for tomorrow's game and Alex Bazzie isn't.

Re: Lulay activated off of 6 game injured list...

Just heard this on the radio. Wally said something to the effect that not only would Lulay and Jon Jennings play in the 2nd half of the season, but another QB as well. While RJ Archer may just be an arena QB brought in in an emergency situation, I think it'll be him. You see, the college he went to ...

Re: The Jemarkus Curse!!

Hunter Steward? Isn't that a guy who opened up a restaurant with Andrew Harris? No, wait a tic. That was Jon Hameister-Rees. I always get my injurees mixed up. Anyway, Hardrick is currently on the right side of the SK line, which indicates he can comfortably play no less than 3 positions, LT, LG and...

Re: Who is responsible for the sad state of our team? At 4 a

Gee, I sure don't like talk about Canadian starters being reduced. As far as QB's getting hurt, leave us not forget 2 were hurt here with 3 imports on the line. Also, many good SK and MTL lines had a lot of Canadians. As far as which position Canadians should play so as to do the least damage, there...

Re: Beck gone home?

Dante was run out of town in a manner that could only be described as "Wally-esque". Certainly didn't get the Barron Miles treatment or the Mark Washington treatment. More of a Korey Banks type exit. But you know, some of that may be on the player. We're not always privy to what goes on be...

Re: The Jemarkus Curse!!

The Lions' transactions simply said he was released, and his name was not on the practice roster. I guess he might have considered whether or not he'd stick around, or maybe it was the team. Regardless, that transaction statement has been changed and he is now on the practice roster as the poster no...

The Jemarkus Curse!!

Just noticed that McFarland fellow was just simply released without going back on the practice roster, etc. Wonder if he'll join Jemarcus Hardrick in SK? Guess the DT Jemarkus was simply not good enough to beat out that Craig Roh guy. Of course, whereas McFarland is just a DT, Roh is much more versa...

Re: Beck gone home?

I think a fair number of players do rehab at home when it's something that will keep them out for a long time (like the rest of the year). Beck was a good guy. Hope he does well with what ever he takes on going forward. That will probably be the last we see of him, I would guess.

Death Roh Verdict

Okay, Death Roh. Played DE where he really belongs, while Westerman played inside where he really belongs. The verdict? He'll never be an all-star in this league. However, he wasn't that bad. Moreover, the way he played, aside from showing how foolish the Lions were to play guys out of position for ...

Re: Lions @ Eskimos -- Post Game Stats and Comments

Jeez, some pretty bitter posters here. Even when the Eskimos were down, I don't think they were worried. They looked confident the whole time. And for good reason, they're a good football team. When they had to, their defense tightened up, and when they had to, Mike Reilly and the offense got going....

Re: B.C. Lions at Edmonton Sept. 26, 2015

Not sure Cord Parks actually dresses. If you count the imports on the depth chart, two of these three have to sit: Taylor, Parks, Curran (the new LB). So, Taylor for sure, but the other guy? Guess it could be the new LB. They seem to have a lot of depth there. However, I'm almost certain Cord Parks ...

Re: Jonathan Jennings gets his first CFL start

From what I've seen, Jennings isn't a one and done thing as a QB. But, given the Esks are pretty good and the Lions O-line is pretty poor, I'm not sure we should be looking for too much here. Limit the interceptions, run from sacks, get some first downs, spread the ball around in a manner the other ...

Re: A Glimpse of Sanity - Roh Starts at Defensive End

Darn. I was going to start a thread re: Roh coming in at DE. Beaten to it. I'm very interested in this change. If Roh does well at DE, then I will join others in tearing a strip off the Lions for taking so long to get guys into the right position. This would include Westerman. Now, there is a chance...
