Re: Lions Additions and Cuts
If the team just takes their medicine and designates Boyko as the back up and provide Knevel some game time experience, that might be the key. Clearly Figuero and Steward are the best they have so play both, Chung or Foucault at guard and Roy at centre with Knevel at right tackle.

Re: Who is worse Lions or Whitecaps?
Well I know I would rather watch the Lions/CFL over NFL and just about any level of soccer instead of Whitecaps/MLS.
So I guess in that twisted logic the Lions are better....

Re: Will Hervey and Claybrooks Be Back Next Year?
I suspect both will be back, simply for the fact we have absentee ownership and Hervey’s reputation will still have previous accomplishments intact to go with the recent blemishes. I hope Claybrooks remains for a couple of reasons. One, I do believe he can succeed as a HC and be a credit to the leag...

Re: How to attract Fans back to the BC Lion games?
There is only really one currency that will bring in fans. That is a winning product on the field. We aren't ever going to have the "day of" atmosphere that comes from tailgating. 15 mins of halftime music isn't enough to bring in fans especially when you factor in the costs of the game t...

Re: How to attract Fans back to the BC Lion games?
The concert has to be the reason for the roof closure. However, they could have just prepared a stage that has cover in the event of a shower. If they can have half time shows at other outdoor stadiums, they can do it here. Whatever the reason, it's not a good one. The roof needed to be open, perio...

Re: Which side of the ball are you most worried about? Offence or Defence?
Offense. I don’t think it is a coincidence that the team fades after the half. The defence is overworked due to lack of possession. But IMO, this team has the stink of a locker room that simply doesn’t give a f*ck what coaches or leaders amongst the players say. Checked out. Gone home. Last one turn...

Re: Lions Additions and Cuts
His (Boyko) potential suggests they shouldn't be too impatient but he wasn't alone in letting pressure on the QB and I don't know if he was supposed to pick those non-picked up guys up BUT no one seemed to tell him that mid game. Saw no adjustments. Agreed. To be fair, Chungh did not have a good ga...

Re: Lions Additions and Cuts
Glad to see Pierson back as I thought he played very well at C last year. I saw Henry Burris on twitter talking about how the Lions should sign Jon Gott to be our C...perhaps that's an option to consider, but for now let's see if Pierson's play can carry forward. Boyko hasn't played well IMO and I ...

Rickey Lloyd has been released as per Farhan... https://twitter.com/farhanlaljitsn/status/1143328499064688640?s=21 Also Mike Reilly has shaved off his beard. Time to get serious. Has the airlift started ? Seems like it. We are searching hard for the right backup QB. Apodaca gone. Sears gone. Lloyd ...

Re: Eskimos 39 - Lions 23 -- Post-Game Comments
The Lions have signed American DB Brandon Dozier, an all-star with the Als last year. Hopefully that's a step in the right direction for the secondary. There's the scheme (too much bending and breaking) that needs to be adjusted, but personnel is equally important, and some of the boys back there w...

Re: B.C. Lions at Edmonton June 21, 2019 - Game Day Thread
In all seriousness, I hope Matt Baker takes the time to post something here that addresses what we plainly saw unfold. Namely the lack of effort and the lack of varied play calling.
The club needs to address how this game went down out of respect to the fans.

Re: B.C. Lions at Edmonton June 21, 2019 - Game Day Thread
I hope every single player is angry as hell. And I hope the coaches realize they deserve the crap thrown their way. The Edmonton defence is, IMHO, not one of the league’s best. And they were missing a few key starters like Orange and Unamba. And yet, they were able to look like Grey Cup favourites p...
